Conserving The Planet

What is conservation?. Conservation is basically the protection, preservation and careful management of natural resources. The primary focus of conservation is to maintain the health of the natural environment. Its secondary focus is to conserve energy and some materials. The person who follows this ethic and especially towards conserving the planet is called a Conservationist. Conservation is defined by four words which are: Rethink, Reduce, Recycle, Repair. Some conservation issues are: Exploitation of nature resources, deforestation, marine pollution, over fishing, global warming, species extinction, etc.

Natural resources are defined by biodiversity and geo diversity existent in an eco system. These resources are essential for our living while others are used for satisfying our needs. They are divided in the following two groups: Biotic Resources and Abiotic Resources. The Biotic resource is obtained from the biosphere like forests, animals, birds, fish and Mineral fuels. The Abiotic resource is related to non living things like air, water and minerals like gold, silver, copper and iron.

Endangered species are the population of organisms which are at risk of becoming extinct. Extinct or extinction is defined as the end of an organism or a group of species. The extinction consists when the last existing member of a species dies. Nowadays many countries have laws for the protection of the endangered species. An example of a species that has received a legal protection from risk of extinction are Pandas.

Resources Conservation are the practices that protect, preserve and renew nature's resources in a way that will ensure economic and social benefit. Conservation of these resources are achieved by managing materials more efficiently. Conservation and preservation differences are: To conserve is the act of taking careful management with the main reason of preventing loss or injury and to preserve is the activity of protecting something from loss or danger.

Sustainability is known as the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to reach their own needs. Is the potentially long-term maintenance which has economic, environmental and social dimensions. This word describes how biological systems remain productive and diverse over the time.

Environmental conservation is basically the act to protect the environment from organizational, governmental or individual level. This act is directly for the benefit of humans and natural environment. The government has placed restricts on activities or practices that causes degradation of the environment. On the United States there is an agency called United States Environmental Protection Agency also known as EPA which protects human health and the environment. This agency was established in 1970. In other countries there are also agencies and organizations for the environmental protection. Here, at conservemag.com you will find all information on how to preserve and save the planet.
