Information About Global Warming
One of the hottest topics in today’s media is the concept of global warming and how it could affect the status of the planet. The basic idea of global warming is that certain greenhouse gases are being produced excessively and are being trapped in the ozone layer, or the upper level of the atmosphere. These gases come from human activities, such as using gasoline for transportation or cutting down rain forests in equatorial locations. While the presence of the gases is not under debate, there is some discourse about the greenhouse effect and whether or not it really is a problem that needs to be solved.Another term that is used to describe this situation is climate change and it means the same thing. It is known that the climate moves in cycles and that there will be some climate change from year to year. However, the debate is centered around whether the actions of humans will influence or possibly disrupt the natural climate change that occurs. Because there is no historical data to gauge how air pollution affects climate change, there are many people with a wide range of opinions.
Whether global warming poses a threat or not, the majority of the world’s nations have started to implement new green technologies that reduce the amount of air pollution that is created and the amount of natural resources that are used. By harnessing technology, such as solar or thermal energy, the natural resource supply of the world is not deleted and less greenhouse gases are passed into the ozone layer. Some governments have also passed industry regulations that limit the amount of these greenhouse gases that may be released by factories or other industrial locations. With these new advancements, the progress of global warming from human endeavors may be significantly reduced.
