Land Pollution and Conservation
Research on the effects of land pollution show that much of the land pollution that is seen on this planet is a result of human activity but there are many things that you can do to improve upon the use of the earth’s natural resources and to stop this pollution. Land pollution is defined as the degradation of the land surfaces of earth. This is often caused by human waste and the effect of pollution on the land has devastating effects on animals that live in various habitats across the world. There are various types of land pollution but the most common kind of land pollution happens when waste is not disposed of in the proper manner. Land pollution can also happen through the exploitation of the earth’s natural minerals. Many industries carelessly use up the minerals of the earth and if this practice does not stop many of the earth’s precious minerals will be depleted in the near future. In order to help stop the effects of land pollution it is necessary that we do everything we can in order to stop wasteful habits and to be conscious of overconsumption.Soil pollution is another aspect of land pollution that is caused by chemicals in the herbicides and pesticides that farmers use on a regular basis. The poisons that are used to kill insects and other pests can harm many animals that live in and around farmlands. These pesticides can also contribute to sicknesses in humans in addition to other animals. One of the other main forms of land pollution occurs when human and animal feces are not disposed of properly. Feces and the gases that are released from feces is not only a contributor to land pollution but also water and air pollution. Run off from farms that produce large amounts of animal feces can release greenhouse gas into the atmosphere killing our ozone layer. In order to help protect our planet and aid in environmental conservation we must find a way to help reduce the effects of pollution as much as possible. This can only be done by becoming conscious of our actions in terms of causing pollution and harm to the ecosystem.
